Dr. Steve Walton

Dr. Walton has an impressive 40+ years of experience in dentistry, and he says that he still loves coming to work every day thanks to the great people he gets to see, referring to both his patients as well as our staff. You can trust that you’re always in good hands with Dr. Walton because he has basically seen and done it all in the dental world! Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Walton says that he practically grew up around dentistry thanks to his dentist father. This introduced him to the profession early, and he always liked the combination of art, science, and one-on-one interaction that went into it. So, when it came time to choose a career, following in his dad’s footsteps felt completely natural.

Dr. Walton attended Ohio Wesleyan University, and while there, he was such a standout tennis player that he was eventually inducted into the Ohio Wesleyan Hall of Fame. He went on to earn his DDS degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.

After graduating, Dr. Walton served as a part-time clinical instructor at OSU for 10 years, and he became a dental consultant for two insurance companies. Today, he is on the Ohio Testing Commission which allows dental assistants to earn advanced certifications.

Always eager to learn and improve, Dr. Walton has taken many advanced courses through Spear Education, the Seattle Study Club, and the Dawson Academy. He is also an active member of multiple professional organizations:

Dr. Walton and his wife, Nancy, have been married for over 40 years, and they have three grown children as well as four grandchildren. When he isn’t having a blast being Grandpa, you’ll usually find him enjoying a game of golf or skiing.
